These substrates are characterized by the presence of volcanic pumice and contain significant amounts of Irish peat, rendering them particularly suitable for medium to long-term crops.

In addition to their immediate release fertilizers, they also include a significant dose of horn hoof meal. The Tyrrhenian variety, with 3-8 pumice, is best suited to small and medium pots, while the Albenga variety, with coarse pumice, has a more substantial structure.

The use of coconut fibre is recommend when using the substrate for cultivations managed using subsurface irrigation systems (mat) and with longer cultivation cycles. In addition to maintaining an unaltered structure, the coconut helps better distribute the moisture within the pot.
