Piante Carnivore

Ideal for growing all types of carnivorous plants.

During their evolution, carnivorous plants have developed systems to capture and digest insects, which is why they are called ‘carnivorous’ or ‘insectivorous’. They require an acidic substrate (pH less than 5) that is devoid of nutrients, particularly nitrogen, which is absorbed by the plant by digesting animal proteins. Due to the presence of Baltic peat, the substrate maintains its acidity and drainage capacity while increasing water retention. Baltic peat makes the substrate soft and maintains an acidic pH, which is essential for the growth of these types of plants. The peat makes the soil softer and better draining while increasing water retention and supplying organic matter. Select perlite increases aeration, with positive effects on the roots and plant development.

WITH BALTIC PEAT

This refined component, among the best Baltic peats on the market, makes the substrate soft and maintains an acid pH that is fundamental for the cultivation of these plants.

WITH SUPERFINE PEAT

Vigorplant has conveniently selected this refined material since it makes the soil more draining and softer while increasing water retention.

WITH SELECTED PERLITE

It is a mineral-based product that increases aeration with positive effects on the root system and the plant growth.
